Hospitals have many regulatory compliance issues. This application was designed to increase compliance within a shifting regulatory field while simultaneously optimizing revenue.

The Challenge

This was a brand new application built from the ground up in a rapid timeframe. The application required substantial domain knowledge to produce something that would be accepted by customers.

Key Accomplishments

• Rapid Acquisition of Domain Knowledge
  – field observation and cognitive inquiry research to see how users currently do their jobs
  – interviewing internal and external subject matter experts in nursing and medical records administration
• Iterative Design
  Got the app in front of potential customers early and often with rapid iteration leading to a functional, sellable application in the given timeframe
• Attractive Interface
  Customers were used to DOS or Fox Pro based applications and the new look and feel was well accepted by customers.
